  1. Anyone see this last night? The show's blurb:- Property developer Gary McCausland follows the progress of two couples trying to make money from buying and selling property. Liverpudlians Amanda and Tracy have gone well over budget and are still struggling to find a buyer. Will they accept their losses and sell? And in Bristol best mates Jem and Dave are flying high after making a killing on their first house. But beginner's luck soon runs out when they rush into buying their second property. Will they be stuck with a property no one wants? and did anyone catch the part where Mr McCausland said that prices in Liverpool had fallen by 70% which meant that Liverpudlians Amanda and Tracy couldn't sell their house, no matter how chic they made it - so they sold it auction for a 30K loss.....

  11. 246 Morden Road, Merton Park, SW19 2DA (No previous prices available as it has been in the same family ownership for 30 years). At auction, it reached 310K, but didn't sell. It's located opposite the National Trust's Morden Hall Park, although is next to a car dealership and on a busy road. Even so, a detached house with 3 beds, 2 receps, 2 w/c's, 2 garages....would've been snapped up a year ago.
  12. 197, Whitehorse Road, Croydon, Greater London, CR0 2LH 3 bed, 2 receps, freehold terraced house with uninterrupted views to park at rear, last bid £183K, went unsold at Andrews and Robertson auction today, it's available at 185K. Previously it sold for 192K in March 2004 and 157K in September 2003.

  14. Here are the prices this flat achieved over the past few years 29/09/2003 £165,000 08/08/2002 £95,000 31/10/2001 £85,000 and the guide is now £100,000
  15. Lot 19 at Andrews Robertson auction next week on 13th Dec is a flat situated with direct access from Coldharbour Lane. Public transport includes Loughborough Junction (Rail) Station Which is true, as the opposite side of the street is one of the railway lines connecting to this junction. A scrap yard is one of the many businesses operating from the arches under this line. The photo in the auction catalogue is cleverly taken, showing the front of the building only, and not the area. Here's recent photo I took from a different angle If anyone buys this at auction without going to see it or the area then the conclusion is that the madness, as often seen on Homes Under The Hammer, is still around.
