How strange. No-one I know has had any side effect from getting jabbed.

Yeah, weird. The worst effects seem to be among the older ones, though someone in their twenties did say she thought she was going to die for a couple of days after being jabbed.

Actually, none of my relatives in the UK have mentioned any serious symptoms. Are you sure you're actually getting a vaccine and not just saline injections?

Or maybe Trudeau is trying to bump us off.

That or it's roughly in line with a 8 -12 week gap between bookings...

I.e the spread between number with both jabs and number with one is the sum of first jabs given in the previous 12 weeks.

Possibly, but my girlfriend keeps up with this stuff and says she knows quite a few people who got one jab and decided they're not getting another. So it could be either way.

I can see WFH policies being brought up in interviews and maybe even being used as a selling point for employers. Certainly if my place demanded 100% back in the office (or, if I was so minded, 0% in the office if I didn;t like WFH), I'd be looking elsewhere.

Yes. I've heard anecdotes from a number of people about employers demanding everyone go back to the office and discovering that many of their best people quit instead because they find work-from-home jobs at another company.

I went into the office earlier in the week, but only because they had free ice cream. It was weird having to put trousers on, find my ID badge and drive for twenty minutes rather than crawl out of bed to the computer room and log in.

My girlfriend has been told they have to go back to work in a couple of months and will have to wear masks in the office. So she's not happy and neither are some of her friends; I'm guessing at least one of them will retire instead.

All that said, I've been told I'll have a newbie starting work for me soon, and that would legitimately be easier in the office. But most things I do just don't really need it; even before the Covid nonsense I would work from home if the weather was bad enough that I couldn't be arsed to fight my way in through the snow, or I was expecting the postman to deliver something I wouldn't want left on the doorstep.

  4. Among those who actually know something about this, it's been well-known for a long time that all the stuff about the Amazon rainforest being 'the lungs of the world' is complete guff. The plants absorb CO2 while they're growing, and emit it again as they die and rot.

The real Climate Change issue is that the sun seems to be going into a period of low activity, which is why we've had temperatures in the 40s here lately and seen swings of 20C from one day to the next, all while global temperatures have dropped to the thirty-year average and Greenland has been having record ice growth. Low solar activity wrecks the jetstream and eliminates the nice, relatively stable weather we've been used to for decades.

In addition, the Earth's magnetic field is weakening and the North Pole has left Canadian waters and moved into Russia's. It probably won't become a full reversal, but if it does it could wipe out 75% of life on Earth in the not-too-distant future.

But if you really want to worry about a trace gas that makes plants grow better... feel free.

Oh, and the veggies we're growing in the back yard seem to love the hot weather we've been having. So maybe your Global Warming would be a good deal for us here.

I think the anti experimental "vaccine" side are growing like mad because the number of people who are coming across this "vaccine" either doing harm to themselves, or harm to their family/friends is rapidly growing.

Yes. Here the government tout '70% vaccinated', but they actually mean 70% got one dose. About a third of those have apparently decided not to get the second dose because the side-effects from the first were so bad.

About a third the people I know who got jabbed have had a side-effect I wouldn't want, from temporarily losing the use of an arm to ongoing medical treatment for autoimmune issues to hospitalization.

And this is probably why governments are pushing so hard to get people jabbed as fast as possible. The longer it takes, the more people start to wonder why they would want to risk those kind of side-effects for a disease that barely kills anyone who isn't old and sick.

I'd rather move to a shack in the woods and train bears to keep the idiots away.

I am a bit confused as to why some are both anti lockdown and anti vaccine...

The lockdowns achieve nothing but to wreck the economy and stretch out the infections.

And a rushed vaccine is likely to be far more dangerous than a cough with a 99.7+% survival rate. Even assuming that it is a vaccine against Chinese Flu and not some kind of harmful drug that the globalists want to force onto everyone in the world.

The fact that Bill Gates is salivating over the prospect of 'vaccinating' everyone is a clear sign that we should do everything possible to avoid it.

  7.

    YOU MAY BE ASYMPTOMATIC!!

No wonder this country is f**ked.

And monkeys may fly out of my butt.

Every time people discover that the disease doesn't spread the way you people claim it does and that it doesn't harm people the way you claim it does, you come up with some new explanation of why we should be scared of it.

You're just like any other crazy conspiracy theorist, who always has a 'yes, but' when people point out how crazy their claims are.

There is far, far more evidence of spread through poop than there is of spread through the air from people who have no symptoms. But Muh Masks!

  8.

Jesus wept. Are you for real? How long have you been following the pandemic and you are asking a simpleton question like that?

Which part of 'perhaps more tellingly, a mask does not protect YOU. A mask protects those around you from catching something FROM you' is proving hard for you to understand?

Edit: oh, and I've been following this scamdemic since before it hit the Western media in any significant manner, which is why I know it's complete nonsense.

  9.

Read what he said and quit being downright stupid and selfish.

He says that masks don't protect me, they protect other people.

    I'm not sick.

So since the mask will only protect other people from me and not me from other people, and I'm not sick, why is he telling me to wear one?

Because the whole thing has been nonsense from the start.

HPCers plunged into despair as cure for deadly pathogen announced!

Yes, the 'deadly pathogen' that more than 99.7% of people survive.

The 'deadly pathogen' that has basically a 0% death rate if you're under 50.

The 'deadly pathogen' that mostly kills people who are older than the average lifespan.

The 'deadly pathogen' which is so deadly that most people have to be tested to determine whether they have it.

Back on topic, it's not just about Trump. The goal was to wreck the global economy and then turn up promising to fix everything if only we give up all our rights.

The problem is that they stuffed up, and instead of an actual deadly pathogen, the globalists were as incompetent as usual and produced something little more dangerous than the flu. So no-one of clue takes anything they say seriously.

Had this been as dangerous as SARS, people would be lining up to surrender their rights for a vaccine and UBI. But they can't keep hyping up the flu forever.

  11.

One study shouldn't ever settle anything, and I'd be very reluctant to jump to the conclusion that conspiracy is the reason for a particular study not being published; that claim would need good evidence in its own right.

The CDC said recently that the vast majority of people who tested positive in the US usually or always wore masks.

The numbers typically show that the infection rate increases after an area imposes a mask mandate.

A study in Nature a few weeks ago said that properly-fitted, regularly-changed surgical masks and unvented N95 masks were fairly effective at preventing the spread of a virus in droplets, but that cloth masks probably made the spread worse unless they were regularly washed, because the droplets dried out and then the virus was blown into the air on small dust particles from the mask.

Lastly, I read a claim the other day that most of the new cases in Italy were due to spread in households, so unless you're planning to wear a mask all day at home, it's probably pointless.

I don't know whether it's conspiracy or incompetence, but it doesn't appear likely to have much impact on disease. At best it's Virology Theatre.

The elites are taking back control. It was never meant for you.

    Largely, yes.

The only reason the elites gave the proles the illusion of control through 'democracy' was because they needed the proles to work in their factories to make stuff to make the elites rich. By telling the proles they could vote for which of two carefully-selected figureheads told them what to do, the elite could retain control and keep the proles working for them.

Now the factories are in China, so there's no need to care about what the proles think. In most countries they no longer even pretend that voting can make a difference, because it can't.

However, today's 'elite' are mostly degenerate grifters. Not so much the 0.00001% at the top, but they've ensured that none of the 1% are in a position to replace them by giving positions of power to people like the Bidens, Clintons and Trudeaus. So the 1% are unable to run an actual functional society without the proles.

    Which makes the future... interesting.

Give it a rest - the horse has bolted in the UK for elimination to be a effective strategy.

No. Elimination in the UK would be easy.

    Just stop testing.

People have pretty much stopped dying of it because the most vulnerable are either dead or staying home, so if you just ignored it and got rid of the lockdown nonsense, no-one would really notice any more. Certainly it would be impossible to spot by looking at the death rates.

  14. Trump, though with Biden's "most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics" working to undermine the election, it may have to go to the Supreme Court.

And there's still the rumor that the Democrats are planning violence at polling stations on election day.

  15.

Guess many Americans view this behaviour as a strength.

Bingo. Trump was aiming for the black and Latino vote, both of which were up after the debate.

Without majority support from blacks, the Democrats are done.

Why do you think they've been shrieking 'But Muh White Supremacy!' ever since the debate? They're trying to scare blacks back onto the plantation.

To be fair todays 68 year olds are in far better condition than those even 30 years ago. The problem is we are living longer at an unbelievable rate 5 years longer in only 30 years.

Assuming we manage to avoid collapse, the way the research is going it's quite likely we could see another five year increase in lifespan in the next ten.

And not just more years of being old, wrinkled and senile, but more years of decent health.

Regardless of what happens, retirement and pensions are on the way out.

  17.

We've been starving the public sector of resources.

I pay substantially less tax here than I did in the UK, yet I don't see people starving in the streets.

The UK's public sector is just tremendously inefficient and overpaid, though I'm starting to see that coming here too, in the organizations I know about; more and more overpaid managers, more 'diversity and inclusiveness' coordinators, and less and less actual workers to do the work the organization is supposed to be doing.
