  6. +1 I really appreciate the folks who spend ££££ of their own cash paying the VAT, sales tax and eye-watering levels of depreciation on new cars - these folks provide the used car market with it's reasonably priced stock. .. and, as I work in the OE motor components industry, they are paying my salary (which I use to buy a quality used car from an Auction). My current car was over £19,500 list price new in 2004 and I successfully bid £3,600 for it when it was less than 4 years old.
  7. One of the comments.. "So if a 56 year old wants to move home and needs a 50% mortgage to buy their dream home, they won't be able to get an interest only mortgage. Instead they will be forced to either take a crippling repayment mortgage or save large amounts of money in risky investments" It really is that bad these days - are the lenders now wanting the loans paid back !!
