  1. 5 quid a ticket at peckhamplex all day every day. Peckham is a hole, but we go there regularly and it's always full. Staff are nice too, even as they're frisking your bags for knives.
  2. I think Greece would have something to say about that...
  3. Last quarter early 2019 london was 2% lower than this quarter. The percentage figures are yoy comparisons. London prices are going up. The headline is flat wrong.
  4. London up about 2% on the quarter. Last year it was down 2% QoQ.
  5. Did they find dead bodies there or something? That actually looks cheap to my addled London brain.
  6. Interesting: https://www.google.com/search?q=LON:+PRSR&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgecRowS3w8sc9YSn9SWtOXmPU5OIKzsgvd80rySypFJLmYoOyBKX4uXj10_UNDVOqTAsrLHKqeAAxCGqAPQAAAA&tbm=fin#scso=_i2ADXaPEI52C1fAP0bC6qAk2:0&smids=/m/02hl6w&wptab=COMPARE
  7. I thought borrowing your deposit was illegal, if not declared to the lender. Mandelson got into serious trouble when he borrowed money to get a mortgage. You can (and are legally obliged to) declare the debt, but then you probably won't get the mortgage anyway.
  8. What if you've signed a contract that has fees in it payable eg on extension?
  9. Prices of London property like the one I live in have fallen more than my rent was last year. In addition, my investments/pension have brought in double the rent. I 'stock pick', but spread it widely so it more or less tracks the FTSE. I wish I could have bought twenty years ago (no-one would lend me 60 grand!), but we are where we are.

  11. Yeah, this. I looked at this and didn't invest, but I would have expected the FCA to regulate its claims.
  12. 'Experts blamed the slump in prices on the fall in house prices' Nurse!
  13. https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices/timeseries/chaw/mm23 Prices down nearly 1% on the month. Not seen this since a nearly identical fall at the start of 2009...
  14. Property divided into two flats is more likely. 600K is not cheap, granted. But 800k wasn't a crazy asking early last year. psf 600k is quite cheap for the area.
  15. Asking is 25% down in three months: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-56249916.html am seeing more of these 'offers in excess of'. Seems no-one's interested, but they don't want to give it away...
  16. 260 days per year? Why work that much when 40% goes to the treasury? Permies typically work closer to 220 days/year.
  17. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/review-and-comment-on-any/knlnhookpeoheicigpcefcajopekmmli?hl=en 0.59c per month
