  4. Awesome reply to Harker..."Oh, its so unfair isnt it?Try being priced out of even a bedsit for over a decade, whilst paying your 'hard earned' to a liar loan landlord, who doesnt have to work as youve paid for his lifestyle. Whilst simultaneously having your taxes stolen, and your money devalued via QE, to bail out the bank who were stupid enough to lend anyone who could scrawl their sign hundreds of thousands of pounds. So you are Workjng for nothing, no capital. Zero. Nada.Yes, thats right. Your now officially a slave. Then compound your sense of unfairness, anger, bitterness and despair about a hundred fold, and you'll be somewhere close to where we are.Evil Fascist Labour Party B@5tards"
  5. My feelings exactly.....why blame an entire generation for the fact that the future is going to be extremely tough just because they were born at a certain time, not every family,or male or female of a certain age has managed to build up assets of unimaginable wealth and if they did, good luck to them, it seems to me that we post on here advocating the fact we should just inherit wealth as a given shows the self centred, "I'm worth it" culture the western world currently languishes in......I am 39 , rent and have little savings and come from a very modest earning family who have worked all their lives and I hope my mum and dad blow the lot, they deserve to after grafting all their life's...

  8. The tribunal heard how a female cleaner on Grade 1 received £11,577 - the same grade as a street sweeper. But the sweeper actually earned £32,000 because of bonuses and overtime. For a Grade 2 worker, such as a school crossing patrol, lunchtime supervisor or kitchen assistant, the salary was £11,737. But the highest paid refuse collector, also a Grade 2, took home £46,000.WTF!!!Equality or no equality, This is union and public sector madness.......The average Joe on the street working in the private sector (ME) must feel sickened by this.....Also discussed on Drive on Radio 5 on I player.......
  9. Not trying to stoke up a doomsday scenario just picking up on the vibes laid down by the OP on the thread.... "Diskobox" Sombre and ashamed hangs head in shame and lets this thread once again retreat to page 7............... ......
  10. Almost two months since The Masked Tulip started this intriguing thread and I know I cannot add anything that has not already been said but feel that something is just around the corner, it is obvious that the economy is going to hell in a handcart but I fear a "Black Swan" event is weeks away which will be triggered by the stark reality of how much we are in debt, the fact bankers have had our pants down and the election outcome.... or maybe I am paranoid........ anyway I have started camping my emotions in the field marked "Tin Foil Hat"
  11. http://www.direct.gov.uk/dr_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@over50/documents/digitalasset/dg_180220.pdf On top of raiding pensions ......I looked at the above and sigh.........67 is my new "retirement" age.............
  12. In Derby..... The city council have now almost run out of salt/grit so are now not treating bus routes and if you read the council website they are not treating roads that are under the county councils jurisdiction which include the A38 which is one of our busiest routes, if bus routes are not gritted how is this going to affect people trying to get to work http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bradford/8446809.stm
