  1. It's in the text he said it, as IDN said why isn't the presenter armed and dangerous demanding to know what components make up CPI, followed by subsequent questions relevant to food stuff's and energy prices then querying where these 'rapidly inflating' consumables are measured? Good Lord it's like the National Socialists in the 1930's, are these people bribed or frightened, do they get threatened with the sack or an impromptu train journey to Dachau? Disgraceful, he could and possibly should have been annihilated in this interview, wheel out Paxman after getting out of bed on the wrong side!
  2. Surely not even the dummies that have voted for this Nu Labour con trick for the last 10 years can be fooled any longer? This guy is a prize ****, the unfortunate thing is there are so many ***** out there voting for him/them "GORDON BROWN: It's all the more remarkable that inflation generally is low, when you have, as everybody acknowledges, rising food prices round the world and rising oil and commodity prices. So nobody is trying to suggest that we haven't had a big problem with oil prices. Oil prices have hit almost 100 dollars. Nobody is suggesting we don't have a problem with food prices, because round the round, because of bad harvest, because of other factors at work - demand and supply, food prices are growing. Now, it's therefore remarkable, but unlike the '70s and the '80s and the '90s (interjection)"
  3. I fail to see how anyone would be able to add 'insightful explanation' unless they were actively involved in the activity that was taking place for I very much doubt the BoE would release such detailed information for public consumption? This is more than enough to raise the eyebrow and precipitate a discussion, and precipitate a a great deal of cynicism which given the activity of banking institutions and their insatiable appetite for 'bubble policy' is healthy and should be questioned. A good thread and a case for added discussion for someone who may have further insight to the BoE's acivities?
  4. 'dogturd' (dogbox) turns up now and again to spout his usual drivel, usually after a one day rally on the DOW.
  5. I presume therefore, going by this comment and your previous reference (to cornflakes) one is able to digest the discussed members views at evening dinner, perhaps washed down with a little Chianti?
  6. Snail munching surrender monkeys, where were they when we were knocking the hun for six?
  7. What are those business lines that you refer to and what/who do they rely on for increased profitability?
  8. Clinton (Bill) presided during the 'dot com' bubble, and who was chairman of the FED during his tenure stoking the fire? Alan Greenspan, possibly a candidate for the most powerful inept capitalist EVER ! Can't really see your point or that of the Clinton's to be honest?
  9. Yes you could call them 'closet capitalists' after all they made enough noise about removing socialism. I don't quite know what you want me to say though, if you would like to imply I have a firm belief in the current political field? To me there isn't a party with a clear enough policy or leader that I see that closely matches what I would judge to be my ideal political beliefs, though I concede I shall vote to remove the current incumbent but looking at the likely successor(s), I am not filled with much confidence. All in all I am extremely disappointed in British politics which IMO has moved further towards the American presidential type glitz with no substance, (TB set a precedent there) if that makes me a lier or stupid then I am quite content to be both or either.
  10. Bomber Harris actually had a strategy in the second world war to carpet bomb German cities to, erase them and show no mercy. This did spark some controversy at the time so yes we had ruthless hard people fighting this war and some tactics could be debated over endless time and still there will be merits and also cause for concern. As for globalists well I think you will find that Adolf Hitlers rise to power was a political story full of intrigue, betrayal, ruthless determination and murder, and then the annexing and subsequent rape of Austria set the benchmark for a regime of endless ambition, and a deeply flawed and nasty one at that.
  11. Seems to contradict the anecdotal observation... http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=66199
  12. No one likes war but what were they to do given the nature of the beast that was the Nazi's? Civilians are always the innocent to suffer I totally agree but no allied plane targeted kindergartens anymore than the Luftwaffe targeted primary schools.
  13. Ohhhh come on.........how can you compare? For starters what have Sweden and Finland contributed to the world? Nokia? Abba? Kimi Raikkonen, Sitting on their fat arses during WW2? if they are outstanding pillars of socialism then they suck! For starters whats the immigration levels to these countrys? 'I am a socialist....but looking after no1' values...absolute crap.
  14. Your not guessing you assuming, as I said originally I have no political bias, they are essentially all quite awful, and as I also said Labour have a hashed model based on past Tory policy (which was hardly bullet proof) but I would still class them as 'closet socialists' (IMO the lowest of the low in the political sphere) 'Yeah right...no particular political axe to grind whatsover.....do me a favour.....it is always people of a free-market capitalist persuasion that claim to have no particular political agenda' How do you know that??? I don't see how you can confirm that statement at all?
  15. However one thing I must ask you where are all these potential buyers you quote? Where are your figures to back that assumption because I think you will find that FTB's have dropped considerably over the course of the last few months due to property being over priced (maybe), unless you have data to contradict that statement?
  16. Ill edit that and apologies as we have already done that one
  17. Are you an estate agent, or a 5 year old child? Your grammar is appalling and reminds me of the illiterate '**** jockey' who sold me my first house?
  18. Couldn't agree more,I notice that the Government didn't mention the fact that he sold our gold reserves to them at a record low, think I shall have to mail and remind them of his incompetence (again)
  19. I think the relevance of this is making people who would not normally be aware, aware of the economic issues that are out there. Don't forget that people on here and elsewhere have seen this coming months in advance so it's hardly a scoop!
  20. I am not getting into a political argument as all sides have extreme faults and issues, also I have no loyalty to politicians of any persuasion to warrant my time or effort arguing on their behalf. However, it's quite beyond my comprehension given Labour's abysmal history in Government and fiscal policy how anyone would vote for them, their history is as bare as Newcastle United's trophy room, you are voting for what is essentially back door socialism.....which has a record of dire failure where ever it has spread it's ghastly wings of doom. Tory policy has been hijacked to an extent by Labour it is true, but then it just goes to show how bare, incompetent and misguided Labour policy was in the first place. In regards to Torys, one thing I will say for Major's administration is he left the economy in sound health for this Labour government and he made a point of telling them this when he left office, 'not to ruin what we have'! Well 10 years down the line and having spent and spent and spent....and sold everything (including Gold at record low's economic mismanagement at it's finest) and what do we have left? An economy on the precipice of a catastrophic fall, an incompetent chancellor as PM and a Labour party so devoid of idea they are selling whats left (ohh manufacturing down to 12% of GDP now under Labour, another roaring success for UK plc.....NOT!) TO BLOODY CHINA!!! As I said I hope this would be the last of the Labour party and the British to wake up once and for all to see this scheming lying anti-British propaganda machine for what it is.....but this will not happen to many are oblivious still to the pending trouble, the country as we know it has disappeared, the British people will ultimately only have themselves to blame for letting charlatans run the country for such an extended period of time.
  21. The public will be wiser, they are the ones going to be affected, I hope this is the end of Labour for good but doubt it the populace of the UK are simply to thick to vote differently.
  22. I had to snigger this morning seeing this knowing full well the glee that the corresponding thread would generate. I don't know if anyone else here feels almost guilty that forecasts of recession are becoming reality but I have been saying this to some friends and now it (recession) seems ever more likely feel less inclined to talk about it for fear of upsetting them. Our political leaders and corperate financiers have done a fine job screwing over the average person thats for sure.
  23. I see Mr Jones had a nasty dose of syphilis after a business trip to Thailand, very interesting.
  24. Why take out a mortgage now if you feel there is such risk in he current climate, surely if you get made redundant you may need to relocate in the future?
