  1. 👌 http://www.alt-market.com/articles/3575-the-fed-will-continue-tightening-until-everything-breaks
  2. I've been saying this for a while, we cant give wage inflation, we need deflation, to survive we need to cut costs. What do we do? 1) three day weeks 2) followed by lay offs 3) we've gone down Problem is the scale of the slow-down, believe me it's massive. Private will not be able to support public sector. Lets face it, personally, with increased energy / food / mortgage costs, there is nowt left for retail therapy, which after construction and finance (both fooked) is the bulk of the UK's economy.
  3. Exactly. We (family business) have been going since my grandfather's days (bless him) after WW2. The 70's was bad, the 90's not pretty, 2001 was tough (the recession that never was), this one is going to be evil. When you've been doing the job a long time, you just KNOW, you can feel it in your bones.
  4. Posted this last night, very few get it ? Today, after M&S's massive decline, do you not see my point? Also Wimpey Homes, another 900 out. On very good authority I understand there will be some large redundancies made in a large commercial insurer tomorrow. I no longer care about a house price crash, what's happening is worrying.
  5. Sorry, there will be no wage inflation in the private sector. The economy is finished, end of. The lights were turned out beginning of last month. Expect to see short weeks appearing soon, shortly followed by mass bankruptcies and unemployment. The rot has set in, and there is NO turning back. Everyone is asking the same questions in business, and we are all giving the same answers. There is little business to be had. Good luck, this is going to be a bad one.
  6. AFP, too true, going to get very messy over the summer, the penny has dropped (finally) and everyone I know in biz is squirming. The switch was flicked off on June the 1st.
  7. LOL! (apologies for immature outburst , should know better at 38)
  8. [Chorus] Uh-Oh, We're In Trouble, Something's Come Along And It's Burst Our Bubble Yeah, Yeah! Uh-Oh, We're In Trouble, Gotta Get Home Quick March On The Double! [Chorus] We Couldn't Get A Cab, 'Cause We Ain't Got No Money! We Missed The Last Train But We Thought.... Don't Worry! We'd Get The Night Bus But The Night Bus Never Came! We're Eight Miles From Home And It Started To..... [Chorus] Uh-Oh We're In Trouble, Something's Come Along And It's Burst Our Bubble! 11. 4 **** SAKE. What ever. Only a return to real values will sort this mess. Complete bunch of...........................................
  12. Indeed, the message is well and truly passed on, shame about the rest that almost pushed me over the edge in the recent times of 'keeping up with the Jones's'. Almost lost my wife, kids and sanity. Because I didn't follow the herd and 'live the dream'.
