  1. C4 News listed the following councils that were affected: - Westminster City Council £17m - Hertfordshire County Council £28m - North Lincolnshire Borough Council £5.5m - Brent Council £15m - Sutton Council £5.5m As a council tax payer in Brent, I'm furious that my money was invested in this way. In my opinion, the people responsible for making these financial decisions should resign immediately.
  2. Simple Google search of "203c estate agent" gave me the answer
  3. Anecdotal evidence from a VI, but worth reporting nonetheless. I know the owner of an EA in West London (think Bakerloo line). It's a friend of a friend before you go accusing me of treason. Was out for drinks with them the other night and for the first time they admitted times were tough... very tough. The EA said the only thing keeping them afloat is lettings and that in this part of West London, rents are rising. Sadly I didn't push them for numbers - I was too busy gloating at their admission that the HPC was in full swing.
  4. Yesterday a friend who emigrated to Sydney a few years ago had this to say about his BTL in Leeds: "I'm trying to sell my house and it's worth 10% less than 18 mths ago and I can't let it unless drop my rent from 5% of the rental value 8 years ago !"

  8. How are you monitoring these prices? Are you using Property Bee? If so can you post some examples? I've been monitoring Queens Park prices and have seen several significant price reductions so I'm surprised that WH is bucking the trend. I'll post some concrete examples when I get a chance.
  9. Here's a significant drop round the corner in Queens Park.
  10. Fair enough, if individuals wish to do this themselves, the Selenium IDE plug-in is freely available and it's easy to record a macro to carry out repetitive tasks...
  11. Anybody interested in a script to automatically page through their results to update the cache rather than having to do this by hand? Would be fairly trivial to write a script using the Selenium IDE (a web testing tool). Might even be possible to set it up as a scheduled task...
