  1. Why? Asylum seekers get free safe accommodation until their case is heard. If successful they are then put on council housing list, often with high enough points to guarantee housing. Really it is usually only unsucessfull asylum seekers who stay on illegally that are stuck for housing. I must be evil coz all I see is more landlords, another house rented that will quite probably be paid for by us.
  2. Some selling yet some appear desperate to buy. This made me laugh, saw it yesterday on the way round to Newtownards Road.
  3. Forum is hard enough to read without the added disasters that I had/have trying to post. New content tab made it easy to keep up. Now you have to go looking for things - all just feels awkward and clunky now
  4. Century of the self was excellent IMO. Is this new one worth me lying on iplayer or getting a licence for?
  5. Worth a watch IMO No new names but quite a bit of additional info. Must be more to come out. Apologies for the whispering text - tablets are rubbish.
  6. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1209013/Property-tycoons-worth-70m-demand-3-000-bathroom-suite-tenants---replace-200-broken-toilet-lid.html The Wilsons tried the toilet damage scam too.
  7. I have made several complaints to them about letting agents not advertising tenant fees & they have followed up on each one in detail. The last 4 all changed their websites within a short period of time. DL also had a LL add banned by them last year so I would think a response investigation would be quick.
  8. Interview with Cherie Blair at spivfest where she admits to being a HUTH fan. She thinks the participants on the show are exactly the sort of people (entrepreneurs) that the government should want to help. Her bit on huth starts around the 4.19 mark.
  9. Its written like that for sure. I'm going to ring them Monday and ask. Will report back
  10. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-intersect/wp/2016/06/09/creepy-startup-will-help-landlords-employers-and-online-dates-strip-mine-intimate-data-from-your-facebook-page/ Its first product, Tenant Assured, is already live: After your would-be landlord sends you a request through the service, you’re required to grant it full access to your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and/or Instagram profiles. From there, Tenant Assured scrapes your site activity, including entire conversation threads and private messages; runs it through natural language processing and other analytic software; and finally, spits out a report that catalogues everything from your personality to your “financial stress level.” “If you’re living a normal life,” Thornhill reassures me, “then, frankly, you have nothing to worry about.” Whats normal?
  11. ? 2.9 To reflect a change in the credit risk relating to the Mortgage Loan or our mortgage loans generally. Where we make any change under this clause the change will be proportionate to the underlying reason for making the change.
  12. small print often in an additional booklet This offer incorporates the HSBC Mortgage Loan Terms and Conditions March 2012 edition (the "HSBC Mortgage Loan Terms") That's what Neverwhere would need to see. Customer acceptance signature box includes this Customer's acceptance I agree: a. to be bound by the mortgage offer on the terms set out above and in the HSBC Mortgage Loan Terms and Conditions Would be really interesting to see that if you have it handy.
  13. 'The only thing missing on the day were tenants standing side-by-side in protest with their landlords to give credibility to the moniker ‘Tenant Tax’.
  14. I think, from distant memory that the wording HSBC use is a renegotiation of the contract term. Used to be a 5 yearly 'conversation' From way back in 2009. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/cdc24a48-2078-11de-b930-00144feabdc0.html
  15. This? https://www.118118money.com/?adid=ESEM086&gclid=Cj0KEQjwhN-6BRCJsePgxru9iIwBEiQAI8rq81y96NpsSFAZgkkQ-wwCYfSiRwbJB1vIAZ1zMuSar3oaAp998P8HAQ (not him but nothing they did would surprise me)
  16. Second man arrested was Ronnie Hanna. http://www.irishnews.com/news/2016/06/02/news/nama-ronnie-hanna-arrested-and-released-by-national-crime-agency-543732/
  17. There are 2000 BTL mortgages in this bundle too. North or South? http://www.thejournal.ie/ulster-bank-family-homes-sale-2788255-May2016/?utm_source=twitter_self
  18. If my face book people, mainly die hard lefties, innies for ever folk are anything to go by Cameron's gas lighting is having the opposite effect and making them question his motives and tactics. This might back fire on him.
