The anticipation of the 'poisoned chalice' that was winning the GE and the forthcoming HPC? Threads aplenty. This time round....

Disproportionality Land And Buildings
bendy replied to bendy's topic in House prices and the economy
Yes didn't think of the earnings/debt(mortgage) ratios creating a price floor. A further perk for TPTB to not only regulate the monetary system to their own ends, enslaving them at the bottom while getting more bang for their buck at the top end. That should've been blindingly obvious TBH! -
Why is it that homes at the cheaper end of the market seem to have a disproportionate price tag in terms of square footage compared to bigger/mansion types? If it's the buildings that are being paid for this would seem quite fair as the bigger plot would have the bigger house, as well as outbuildings etc. However, it is always spoke of that it's the land that is the value part of the transaction leaving the buildings as little in form of the overall percentage of cost. Or is it the fixation with property in la la land here along with all the bureaucracy that drives the bigger home as being 'worth' far more in terms of the grounds it demands over the smaller home? I guess it applies to pretty much anything in that if you buy in bulk, you expect more overall for that extra cash, though as we know, housing is not by any means a normal market!

I'm not sure if this helps as I'm not quite awake yet after one too many St George's ales but I'm trying to think what rebellion/non threatening cancerous growths are in the present system. Non-profit charities perhaps or voluntary groups. The present system being particularly open to abuse - though as you have previously said it is self correcting, via revolution then rinse and repeat which while sustainable is not good for the majority.

That's more interesting - I guess however in terms of Loldon each 1% (or 2%) more is vastly different than in the shire(s). To counter I guess the 100k limit is less likely to be breached outside of insanity land.

HS2, this and all other props are Loldon spreading it's ugly veins nationwide

Unfortuantely as the idea has surfaced it will be picked up by all the main 3 (if Lib Dems can be considered one of them still). I also wouldn't be surprised if UKIP go with it One way or another these the parasites in these lot will wedge their way into power.

Sentiment Turned Months Ago, What Next?
bendy replied to disenfranchised's topic in House prices and the economy
I think the only current driver to sentiment change is from people with kids (or adult kids) either still at home or from those who realise the brats will be at home a long time given the current madness. It has ofc taken far too long for these idiots to realise this. -
On A Scale Of 1 To 10...how Angry Are You Today.
bendy replied to TheCountOfNowhere's topic in House prices and the economy
Calm down sweetcheeks, it could be worse. It could be BOIBBTLPMAD (bank of investment banker buy to let portfolio mum and dad) that you wire to the new happy house 'owing' couple. Does anyone else need cheering up? -

Just got over manflu - drinking cider and feeling like the guy of the shite moneysupermarket ads! EPIC! Apologies, may be traces of viral stuff still present in my brain. -
Ah I see, even if you buy tomorrow you could still open the ISA and get the 3k. Which I guess is, unfortunately, the plan Buy now, or save for 5 years while we trickle in the 25% interest to 'the market'. So for Loldon, on that 450k you could buy, we'll guarantee it'll be 25% MORE in 5 years, pocketing you 100k+ - of course if you don't buy now you'll still get 3k, but you're a loser, loser!

Which is the sole reason for HS2. Everywhere can be 'tied to Loldon'.
