  1. The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years: Commodity Online
  2. At the rate - and in the direction - the world seems to be changing/heading, today's tinhatter could be tomorrow's well-fed, debt-free, off-grid survivor.
  3. Despair with just a soupcon of schadenfreude on the side: link to yahoo message boards
  4. Thanks for all the nice things you said about my food store. Godspeed, Justice - and don't forget the rice and beans and food-grade containers.
  5. Thank you, happy? You've made me very....happy. Here's the pic again because it just makes me so....calm.
  6. The citizens of America? I don't think they have any exit strategy - when the news is this appalling they just change the channel. The government of America? They are sock puppets for the banks and the corporations and are just along for the power ride and the goodie baskets. The only way I have ever been able to make any sense of what is going on was to step through the looking glass and look out from the other side in order to see who benefits most. Follow the money. See where the wealth ends up. It serves the wealthy to have a docile and brainwashed majority enslaved to debt. When China eventually walks away from small appliance and electronic manufacturing, who's going to be making toasters and hairdryers for the world? My bet is that it will be Americans who have had their MacMansion repo-ed or are deeply in debt with medical expenses.
  7. Ah, well, my heart was in the right place - hate to turn up at a party empty-handed. Thanks for the link, I will certainly take a look at this book.
  8. This is my first post and I come armed with a documentary. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you might even point fingers.
