  1. I'd have to agree with that - in the "City" I'd imagine it would be more like 90k, but us workers in the rest of London I'd say it was around 40k. I'm 30 and only just reached that amount in a media job. My wife earns a little less, and even now with our joint income we'd find it almost impossible to buy somewhere unless we look in a fairly grim part of London. I think we're lucky and live an OK lifestyle but by no means would I consider ourselves on a large income.
  2. I agree its affordable, I'd buy right now if someone was willing to lend that ratio but no one is.
  3. Please tell me that you're not saying anyone would lend x7 joint income? You'd be lucky to get x4 right now.
  4. I hoping to pick up a 5D Mark II around August... oh dear. Yeah, I've noticed the 70-200mm IS f2.8 I got last year is slowly increasing in value. Hey at least if it gets too bad we can all sell our gear and get some tins in!
  5. Their office is just around the corner from where I work, its basically a tiny greenhouse. Poor Buggers.
  6. Would it be possible to have another 16 September panic? I dont fully understand what happened in 92 with the ERM and all that.
  7. Wow, I thought that video had been looped 1/2 way through... spooky.
  8. I've actually lodged a complaint on the BBC website about this, I've asked the question if the BBC have a vested interest in Northern Rock shares... I'll let you know if I get a response.
