No, because people are being made redundant or having their wages cut either in real terms or through inflation. Also the Banks aren't lending money in the same way as before and the chances are approximately NIL.

I agree,ALL politicians don't practice what they preach-that's why we need to try to make ourseles LESS dependent on them.The current rabble just want to make us all MORE dependent on them and it is for that I am critical. Regarding your point on incapacity benefit-I honestly don't know who started changing the rules,if that's the case is there any evidence that under Thatcher people who were moved onto it WEREN'T disabled in any way??

The point of Keynesian economics was to save during the good times and use this money in the bad times(pretty basic logic really).Unfortunately the Government fall at the first hurdle on this one.

Which raises the question(in any right minded person) what exactly have the incumbent Government been doing for 10 years?? The answer must be NOTHING if the above claptrap is to be believed,then they deserve to be voted out anyway!!
