  1. Coming back to BH9 this is now getting interesting. This sort of property was going for 320-330k at the peak, and is now on for 250k or nearest offer http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...y-23732612.html? 250k was when I was considering getting involved but we could have further to fall
  2. Couple of interesting price changes from my post on page 5 of this thread on the 1st Oct. This one dropped from offers in excess of 365k to 350k http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-191...p;mam_disp=true This one from 300k to 280k. These were going for 320-330k at the peak. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-660...p;mam_disp=true These are in BH9 in north Bournemouth.
  3. Banks are getting absolutely smashed today. Lloyds down to 137!
  4. He became personally involved during the Brown "bounce" and his "Superhero" status in the press. Labour briefly matched SNP's odds in the polls in Glenrothes at the time after being significantly behind before. As such with Brown getting involved up there they couldn't fail could they? Odds this morning on Betfair SNP 1.35 Labour 3.25 The spin of course be if the Tories don't win Glenrothes then they have no hope in the GE. Harman said as much last night
  5. Huge drop overnight. Now 1.62994 That's a 58 cent drop in a matter of weeks. Could see sub 1.50 by Xmas?
  6. Brown is risking a serious spat with the EU on this one. BBC reported last night that the French were furious with Brown for calling for a new Bretton Woods and distributing a document at last nights meeting when the French have the rolling presidency.
  7. I think Philip and Fern were doing a good job of trying to spook the sheeple earlier. Not sure who they were speaking to but they were trying to get reassurance that disruptions to the food supply chain would not be affected
  8. Well waited for the BBC 6 o'clock news and HBOS were not even mentioned  They talked about RBS being the big loser (despite HBOS price going down more in percentage terms). Gordon has obviously leaned on them
  9. Another 52 week low against the dollar - now 1.7386
  10. Glitnir gone, now Landsibanki (Icesave) being taken over by Kaupthing http://www.icenews.is/index.php/2008/10/05...buy-landsbanki/
  11. Looks like Democrats voted 171 to 62 in favour, and Republicans 108 to 90 against
  12. HPC not slow, but can't log into the Halifax website to withdraw my cash
  13. I'm looking at BH9 as well, specifically the Tudor Park and Georgian houses in Sandringham area. Sadly still in denial in some parts. In fact the asking prices seem to be going up in some cases On houseprices I've been tracking the 6 or so roads on Tudor Park, and the absolute peak is one in Sidney Gardens which sold for £322k in Feb 08, in the same road one sold for £315k in June 08. £325k for this one though. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-230...p;mam_disp=true In the Georgian estates, top price seems to have been £390k for one in Sandringham in Nov 07. Offers in excess of £365k for this one, which is similar to prices last summer. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-191...p;mam_disp=true This one which is slightly smaller is more sensibly priced at 299k, but only considering getting involved when these get down to £250k. 3 similar ones sold for £320-330k last summer. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-660...p;mam_disp=true
  14. Oh FFS! So Santander get all the "good" mortgages, and the taxpayer gets billions of pounds worth of toxic worthless rubbish
