Treasury

The Treasury is responsible for formulating and implementing the U.K. economic policy. The head of the treasury is the chancellor.

The Treasury together with the FSA and the Bank of England form the Tripartite agreement that was at the centre of the Northern Rock crisis.

The House of Commons Treasury Committee, has the remit to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of HM Treasury, the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority.
