Greed

Greed and its impact on the housing market.

Greed comes in many shapes and sizes and greed is also hunger. Greed also leads to problems as it's an imbalance. Maybe a small amount of greed is healthy but when it gets out of control then it can become dangerous. Let's look at a few aspects of greed that relate specifically to the housing market.

  1. The greed of the Buy to let investor who wants to own more and more properties. It starts off with one, then five, then twenty-five. I suppose it's human nature that everyone wants to make a quick buck, but then it doesn't take you long to realise that the hard and fast way to earn money is to work hard for it.

The thing with greed is that it clouds judgement and also makes common sense go out of the window when it comes to taking risk.
