As I have commented before I sold my Halifax shares the next day thinking that they might lose their Banking Licence, and that at the very least rules would be tightened up. Instead there was no reaction from the authorities.

Anyone else remember the infamous Northern Rock "Together" mortgage? Borrow 125% of the purchase price so you could have a new car and a holiday to go with you new home. What could possibly go wrong.
