Taxpayers Allinace condemsn Bank Bailouts

Telegraph: Taxpayers got a terrible deal out of Bank Bailouts.

Regulators and politicians need to be held to account for using taxpayers money to bail out banks.
There is no prospect of getting any of the cash back.

This was not a 'deal' that I was offered, I was told that it had been done.
This was not a 'bailout', this was a handout.
The 'gifting' of the available profitable rump of Northern Rock was a signal of things to come. As soon as the Bullingdon clique can see that there is a profit to be generated by the UK's remaining bank holdings you can be certain that they will be sold off at a bargain basement price to the most deserving plutocrat that they can find.
Meanwhile we can all be greatful for the austerity that we are all in together.

Such a shame the sacrifices being made in the cultural revolutions such as in Africa aren't being made here. (By others of course....)

Tee hee. The little Home-Owner-Ists at the Telegraph are getting uppity because they big Home-Owner-Ists in the banks got more of the spoils than they did. Hey Homeys, those are the rules! Vote Home-Owner-Ist and the One Per Cent will keep getting richer and everybody else will keep getting poorer (in relative terms). Grave, dug, lie.

Wouldn't it be great if the government could only spend money on basic services. Then the tax payers would be "allowed" to keep more of the reward for their labour.

The rape of the middle class will continue, funneling money up to the parisites and down to the layabouts.

Nod, government spending is the symptom not the cause. The parasites at the top know perfectly well that their landownership and banking system creates "layabouts" i.e. causes unemployment and homelessness. We've always had these extremes of poverty in the UK, with or without high taxation of income.

So what they do is tax the incomes of the middle class to give to the layabouts (having nicked a bit for themselves). And then they merrily collect all the ground rent and interest anyway and play divide and conquer.

The "Taxpayers alliance" is atroturf (fake grassroots campaign funded by VIs and politicians). http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/oct/09/taxpayers-alliance-conservative-pressure-group. Maybe this piece is designed to bolster their disguise.
