New years bear food to cheer up Vindicated :-)

The Daily Truth: House prices dropping in eight out of ten regions in England and Wales

House prices are falling in nearly every region in Britain, amid fears that next year could be disastrous for the property market.
Official figures from the Land Registry revealed that prices dropped in eight of the ten regions in England and Wales in November. London and the South West were the two exceptions..........................sound familiar?
Happy new year all.........

@Vindicated.......ah well there will be a meet in the new year.....would have had one before Christmas in Wales and up north with Jack C but its been a bit hectic....

Looking forward to the one in Wales this year because it will be in The Star Inn in Talybont-on-Usk which is one of the finest real ale pubs in the country and has a very warm friendly atmosphere....they also do a B&B for those who wish to travel to the meet.

Oh and as for JU..... I emailed him recently but no response....hope he is ok....if your listening JU have a happy new year.

Well dine TC what a great article to end the year on.

Bearish articles have been hitting the general public thick and fast in the last few weeks.

May they continue through 2011.

Happy New Year one and all.

@LP

Happy New Year!!!

Lest start with a simple task for all of you who are getting disheartened

List the reasons why house prices should go up this coming year......then list all the reasons why house prices should fall.

That should sort it out any unnecessary disheartenment

This site and others, and, in particular, the journalist John Fitzsimons who wrote this article are continually writing stuff that is openly contributing to the credit crunch- THEY ENJOY IT AND WHY?
They might be trying to make self fulfilling prophecies to deliberately damage the property market so that they and their 'friends' can obtain re- possessed property on the cheap, after which they will then take the alternative agenda to hype the market up- or they just might be trying to damage the market so that they can afford to get mortgages on lower priced property, but this latter possibility is open to question as the gentleman in question works for a site that sells mortgages- surely therefore it would be in their interest to not damage the market.
However, the former argument appears to be more attractive to ourselves, and others should really consider the possibility of legal action for damages against these sites/writers and editors who are attempting to damage asset values with sustained/co-ordinated attacks (note Nationwide have just announced property prices raised slightly last year, and the arrival of this article and others were predicted to immediately follow!) on an industry which has created jobs and security for large numbers of the British people AND THEIR FAMILES over many years.
WAKE UP EVERYONE AND COMMENCE ACTION VIA SEL LITIGATION WHO WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO COMMENCE PROCEEDINGS FOR SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGES AGAINST THESE JOURNALISTIC PROTAGANSISTS WHO SHOULD BE 'FLUSHED OUT' AND SWITCHED OFF- SEE GOOGLE"

C'mon Bradley [have never liked that name meself] come on here mate... HNY

Hang on.... vindicated look at this response to Brad : [btw here is the URL : http://www.lovemoney.com/news/make-good-property-decisions/house-prices/why-house-prices-will-fall-in-2011-10706.aspx?source=1000557]

"Bradley88, I really think you do not know what you are talking about, this is the view of one person, his view, I feel I must agree with him, having moved house several times taking out a smaller mortgage each time and doing up the house I’m living in, then selling it on at a profit, I have noticed over the years that house prices have risen quite considerably. As I now buy my last project (without a mortgage) from the auctions, you will be amazed by how much prices have fallen, one of my first houses I started on, recently sold at auction for 50% less than I sold it at the time, some 20 years ago. I feel that the index for house prices should be done from the average of auctions; you will get a better view of what is happening on the market. I WILL NEVER BUY A HOUSE AGAIN FROM AN ESTATE AGENT"

Huddle together poor souls.

Just think, what luck that your predictions have failed to materialized,

you would only then have to find some other topic to whinge and whine over.

To all my special friends and other genetic material in the HPC pool, a good year had by all I say.

May I wish an oh so mediocre New Year to one and all from the family Smug.

I predict 2011 is going to be the worst year on record ever for house prices with huge falls.
2010 would have been a good year for HPC'ers but Cameron never had the guts to push through the cuts.

But a house because you want to....I cant believe how bitter people are...... You are not making 30,000 out of me even though I bought at the so called height of 2007. I have worked hard and paid everything myself like a lot of other people. Save like the rest of us and you can afford a mortgage. Perhaps dont take all thoes holidays each year and you might be able to save a bigger deposit. I have written many responses on this site and never had one (as far as I know posted). This site is for the elite..... obviously people who expect everything without working hard.
