Is this ageism?

When this site discusses age issues, it usually targets the older generation who have ridden the crest of a debt based monetary system (or unwittingly joined a ponzi scheme early depending upon your point of view.) I think I'd prefer to call this 'marketing' rather than 'ageism'. Also remember that we have pledged our children's future to pay todays debts; there'll be plenty of time to screw them over later in life.

This is a regular saver so effectively 3%. I don't think there are any accounts that beat the real inflation of neccessities. The way the banks are screwing us all at the moment, I would imagine a years worth of University fees sitting in a kids account today might just cover a few text books in 18 years time; the CTF accounts are even worse.

(Irony)

That's sarcasm or at best a simple joke.

No, irony would be if one of the kiddywinks sued them for attempting to instill an unhealthy and detrimental preoccupation with wealth accumulation in the underaged.

Hmmm.

Is this 'for the children', or is it a convenient loophole for the privileged hoarders because a roll out would be unattractive/ineffective.

No, that would have happened years ago. :)

The financial-social relationship between young and old is developing into a very sick coupling, promoted by external influences who really

have little social conscience. That's what happens when plutocracy gains ground.
