Herald Scotland: Watching the housing bubble with ever increasing interest
Sorry, but I just can’t share in the enthusiasm for the rebound in Scottish house prices or the return of bumper bank profits which underpin it.
Is it sensible for a city such as Edinburgh, so dependent on public services and bank subsidies, to be growing its very own housing bubble on the eve of the biggest cuts in public spending in British history? Cuts that will lead to many thousands of job losses.

back to 2006/2007 then nothing learned and nothing achieved
when in history have so many people be bailed out...and why?

I agree Taffee. They are being bailed out because housing is about the only ' viable ' industry that is left. It has served the present generation well, unlike their fathers and grandfathers who mined coal, made steel and built ships in Scotland. It is an easy alternative to actually doing any work and creating real wealth. I and many others share your frustration.
