Interesting in its own right, and suggests why housing has both become a cause and consequence of inequality. Article also acknowledges that mortgages, for many people, are huge/ridiculous.

How does that work? If somebody offers £25,000 for the cocktail is this offer refused?

The article itself is very good but some of the comments are mind bogglingly naive .
One from "Salfordian" suggests that the answer to reducing innequality is progressive taxation and increasing the minimum wage .
What makes it worse is that it's one of the most highly rated too !
These must be the same people who think the answer to discouraging people who persist in driving home after 12 pints is to reduce the blood alcohol limit .
The temptation for some Westminster bridge salesman to tell them what they want to hear is will be irresistible .
