US housing starts at historical low

Zero Hedge: Weak Housing Starts in USA

As pointed out by a commenter, these are 32% below previous low set in 1982, and would have to more than triple to reach 2005 levels. Previous month's figures were revised downward too.
Huge overhang of unsold property - both new build and repossessed - already on the market.
