The ongoing costs of those bank bailouts

FT Alphaville: Bailed-out bank stakes cost UK £3.2bn a year, JP Morgan says

How much did the bank bailouts cost? Some say the taxpayer even stands to benefit when the banks are sold off. Time will tell.
Add this to the balance sheet - it will cost approx £3.2bn for each year our government holds onto its stakes in the banks. There is also the risk of being exposed to the debt on banks books, not trivial given that future economic health should never be taken for granted.
