Other papers & online media are keeping fairly quiet about this one
Daily Mail: House prices in first monthly drop in more than a year
I love the way they temper these with "despite the drop, ..<insert half truth>.. "

This is a devious story from The Mail. This not the first monthly drop in more than a year. This is the third month-on-month drop in the Land Registry house price data in 2010 (that I can recall) :-
-0.3% in February ... http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/newsblog/2010/03/blog-land-registry-mom-yoy-28264.php
and -0.6% in March ... http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/newsblog/2010/04/blog-lr-mom-yoy-28680.php
What the Land Registry is saying on its website now is that its the first time since March 2009 that the *annual* change figure has not increased from the month before.
