Does the female interviewer really believe the words of conventional wisdom she is spouting along the lines of bailouts and throwing good money after bad or is she just playing devils advocate ?
I hold out hope that it's the latter . The BBC has become so politicised during the last couple of decades that even the news has been dumbed down .

Great interview, thanks TM
"In the America people who didn't buy 5 houses with no money down are suffering with zero percent IR. The saving class is being destroyed". Sums it up pretty well.
PS. Sold most of my $ in time. Sticking with GBP while the $ corrects. Euro seems risky despite obvious time to rally as JR says.

MG - nice on the £, as you said $ overbought, at least temporarily. The Leading diagonal (S&P) seemed to have worked (inasmuch as it predicts a rapid move back up, although it was truncated). That move back correlates with a sell off in the $. Lets see if there is a "b" wave now in both.
Good luck!!
recaptcha : "the plunge" ... :-) [3rd try admittedly... or is that 3rd of the 3rd?]
