Is it me or am I paranoid about the reason for war!

houseprices will shoot up in Afghanistan after this, better buy now before the rush of first time buyers move from the UK..

Ha ha, I saw this and was going to post it aswell, although it has nothing to do with house prices.

Unsurprisngly, the Americans are offering to 'help' the Afghan government by brokering deals for companies seeking rights to mine and export the mineral deposits - of course, the rights will go to Halliburton etc to continue the rape and pillage of the country's natural resources.

The Chinese government is aiming at Mongolia (abundant mineral reserves, especially uranium) which used to be a China territory but half of the country seized by Russia after WW2.
