I can't afford a home so who cares about month to month price rises?

Citywire.co.uk: Why I don’t care about house prices

20-something personal finance journalist Victoria Bischoff is 'not even close to getting the tip of my big toe on the property ladder. In fact, unless I win the lottery (which is unlikely as I don’t play), it is inconceivable that I will be able to afford a house worth a couple of hundred grand for a good few years – if not decades.'
The fact is young, first time buyers are completely locked out of the property market. And I just don’t see how we are going to change that.
