Thegrapevinemagazine: Second Life developer announces job cuts
Linden Lab, creator of the 3D virtual world Second Life, has announced plans to cut its workforce by 30% as a result of a restructuring process.
*****I am not sure how many staff they employ, however judging by the size and the fact it has bases in many countries including the UK I can only assume it is quite a lot of people********

They employ around 350 people worldwide so tiny company really this is hardly news
