A View from The South West Peninsular
Express and Echo: Peter McGahan: House prices
Peter should be an HPC'er - rather a daft lot in this neck of the woods! Could I invite you all to help wake up the locals with some realism too please?
Grateful thanks
Simon

Nah....Peter sometimes does press releases which he doesn't like the wording changed on...he sends the same article to about 6 news sources but ours gets up first :-) which is fine with us....
Its not an uncommon procedure......

What a rarity. An article in a local newspaper written by someone who can think. I went for an interview at the University there in 2008, and as they were offering a maximum of £30,000 for a lecturer with a PhD they cheerfully admitted that of course I wouldn't be able to buy a house there. The surprising thing is that house prices have continued to defy economic gravity for so long.
In the comments to that article, Simon, Devon 14-Jun-2010 13:07 mentions add-on software to Rightmove. Can anyone let me know what that is please?
