Will this change once the sheeple wake up to reality?
MSN: The price of a lifetime of entertainment
Never mind the economic gloom - we Brits are spending billions of pounds on frivolous fun.

Smell the bullshine on this one, besides not having ever heard of the 'Payments Council' the article is written to deceive the casual reader. After reading the £30 per month adult spend per head and wondering how the hell it managed to total £75bn (one assumes per year) I noticed the wee asterisk that reveals that the magical figure conjured up is over 60 years! Then the comparison is made to the 1970's (aren't we lucky) and the fact that we all now have mobile phones, dvd's and a digi box (all of which can be had for £20 ea these days).
FFS there was life and fun before all this electronic crap and no one had ever heard of chlamydia (you would have thought it was a posh girls name) or aids (lemon or cherry) and you could have a great time getting smashed and clubbing in Margate without having to go to Spain for the privilidge.
Get a life MSN and get some decent journo's.

@Rumble
I couldn't possibly comment as I don't want a fatwa, Salman Rushdie style, issuing against me.

£30 a month is a third of a pint of beer per day. As enuii says, that doesn't add to anything like £75bn p.a.
