19 May deadline set for Greece

BBC News: Greece v Argentina: Who wins on penalties?

As far as football is concerned, the two sides will meet on 22 June. For both teams, it will be their third and final group match.
But the day of decision for the Greek economy will come sooner, on 19 May, when the country needs to stave off default by honouring bonds worth 8.5bn euros ($11.2bn; £7.3bn).

Next week (approx. 13 May 2010) maps to August 1982 when the Mexican government announced it would be unable to meet its debt commitments. Gold responded by advancing $150 to just under $500 in less than a month.

Surely from a greek political point of view,it is suicidal for Greece to remain with the Eurozone. Officially they may not default on their borrowings but in practice they will. They will never be able to achieve the IMF targets. Production will slump, wages will decrease. Their ability to borrow on the capital markets will suffer for years to come.
