Impending shortage of easily accessible oil

News Week: A ‘Three Mile Island for Offshore Oil’?

It'll be years before we know the full extent of the damage caused by the Deep Horizon oil spill. But as thousands of barrels continue to leach out of the ocean floor, and with no way of stopping it anytime soon, the magnitude of the disaster has become clear: this is the worst oil spill in U.S. waters since the Exxon Valdez spilled 11 million gallons of crude into Alaska’s Prince William Sound. The economic and environmental impact will likely be catastrophic.

Sorry s2r1

I doubt that there will be a real shortage of oil any time in the next ten years. I'm sure peak oil will come.
This event is unlikely to speed up any shortage though, when compared with total daily oil production, the Deep Horizons spill is a mere drop in the ocean *Ahem*

We are currently resonating in Oct/Nov 1978 (as demonstrated last week with my “Gordon is a Moron” and “Greece is the Word” posts)

Soon we will be in 1979), where we have the Three Mile Island accident on March 28, 1979 (maps to approx. 12 May 2010). And in the charts in March 1978, the Bee Gees with “Tragedy”

There are already a few news articles comparing the “Deep Horizon” accident to the “Three Mile Island” accident

Gold's drop yesterday probably means the top I forcest for 19 May will only be an intermidiate top of $1300 for gold, $27 for silver, and 650 for the HUI Gold Mining Stocks index. The final top and full public mania is still set for 2-3 June

tudorian,

"I doubt that there will be a real shortage of oil any time in the next ten years"

Your probably right. The posting is about a 1979 disaster resonance rather than peak oil.
But the big 1979 resonance I am looking for is the "Iranian revolution".

As I said last week we are resonanting with both 1978 and 1981 simultaneously.

TC mentioned a story that came out on the 27 April 2010 about "Noah's Ark Found on Turkish Mountaintop"
It is interesting that "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (released June 12, 1981) maps to 22 April 2010

Resonating in 1978? are you Doctor Who?

I had a really great time in 1978....OK I was just 5 years old but I remember the toys were brilliant and everyone had the same ones. Everyone had a Stretch Armstrong and either a Grifter, Chopper or Commando bike...I had a Commando.

Then came BMX!!!!

And not forgetting the Star Was figures......oh my goodness I loved them...well up until the age of 14 when I shot them all with my air rifle....sigh....would have been worth a fortune.

Must have been a coming of age thing.

Ah where were we?...ah yes Sold to rent a straight jacket!

If you have genuinely discovered mystic patterns extending across time and space then how absolutely fascinating.

Sorry you really are quite mad and its wonderful.

"Final top" and "full public mania is still set for 2-3 June". Is your theory supported?

Like you, I think gold will rise. I think it will do so slowly. There is scant evidence for "public mania", which you think will occurr in 1 month!

Gold has traded $1130 - 1175 for the past month, rising gradually. See Kitco charts: http://www.kitco.com/charts/livegold.html

Storm in a tea cup.

Since when have Americans cared about the environment?

It'll be capped, sorted and forgotten within a month.

BP will be exoriated in the press, hit with a multi millon (billion?) dollar fine, muttered apologies and then we all get on with it.

Just because some tedious publication glues together some pointless comparison to fill its yawning web pages doesn't mean the event has any long term significance.

alan,

My theory is based on time resonance models.

Calleman's model has gold/silver peaking around the mid-point of the Sixth Night

Previous peaks are:
1492 (National Sixth night 1223-1617 AD)
Jan 1980 (Planetary Sixth night 1972-1992)
Galactic Sixth Night (Nov 2009-Nov 2010)

The exact mid-point is 6 May 2010 but it can be either side by up to 10%

The 2-3 June 2010 maps on the Calleman model to Spandau Ballet’s “Gold” single in Aug/Sept 1983. It also maps on the Timewave Zero model to the 1849 California Gold Rush.

Can I officially enrol into the sold 2 rent 1 fan club and ask about possible resonations between this election and the punk movement circa '76, '77, '78. Back to basics, less sophistication, less complication. And where does this tell me I should invest my £86.35.

Looks like we are in for a series of disasters in May.
Anyone for a colloidal silver revolution?

nomad,

Sid Vicious died of a heroin overdose in February 1979 - so lets see if any resonances come in over the next week or so.

"mystic patterns extending across time and space then how absolutely fascinating." God?

I'm not resonating, is there something wrong with me? After a lot of exercise I might get a muscle twitch, does that count?

"Anyone for a colloidal silver revolution?" - I'm in silver and waiting... if it doesn't happen I'm going to beat everyone to the rush of converting cash to toilet paper, which is turning out to be more futile hassle than anything else, the cash, not the toilet paper.

Oh TitanicCaptain, I was a Commando rider aswell. No doubt you can also recall trips down the road sitting on the crossbar with crushed goolies after the Stermy Archer gears gave out when you were flatout in 3rd gear.

The Star Wars films have massive resonance on the Calleman model. The trilogy of 1977, 1980 and 1983 is burned into global consciousness.

At the end of this month we have the 30th anniversary of the release of The Empire Strikes Back (21 May). On the Calleman model we have a resonance with Return of the Jedi (28 May).

Expect late May and early June to be extremely destructive

No analysis of kids bikes of the 70s and 80s.
