HPC crimewatch report

Telegraph: Inflation hits 5.3pc – no savings account pays any return

Reports are comming in that a figure who calls himself 'King' has staged a brazen daylight robbery of high street savings banks. Remarkably, many of the King's victims still remain unaware of their losses due to King's subtle robbery techniques. This fiendish criminal mastermind is reported to have a quiet, unassuming demeanour yet is known to regularly write letters glorifying and boasting of his exploits. Savers should review their financial security carefully - some commentators allege that King enjoys the protection of the government and further cash heists are already being planned.

I gave up on earning interest a long time ago. There is no point earning 5% a year on a currency that is collapsing by 5% a month.

The crisis has now grown beyond Kings intellect and whatever he does next will make the situation worse. The only constant in this mutating crisis is the more the governments and central banks meddle in the market the worse the situation gets.

The process of trying to save the idiots who made tragic mistakes by socialise the loss and destroying the currency means we all ultimately lose.

More one-sided-economics from the Home-Owner-Ists at The Torygraph!!

Low interest rates = good for house prices = HOORAY!

Low interest rates = bad for savers = BOO!

What do they want? Higher rates or lower rates?

House prices are the least of my worries right now, it's the bag of leaves I'm handed at the end of each month that worries me. A couple of years ago we used to be paid in real money that was actually worth something but now thanks to Merv and Gordon all our salaries have been cut by 30-40%. Maybe the Sheeple will finally wake up to the con when petrol hits £1.30 a litre by the end of the month?
