Tip of the iceberg

Migrant city's cry for help: Mail

This will upset those who live in Basingjoke, Tonbridge etc who don't see the effects of uncontrolled immigration.
And before anyone accuses me of being racist and / or a BNP supporter, I'm not, neither am I a fan of the Mail. However, this situation needs highlighting as it is repeated across the UK and the political elite of all shades simply choose to ignore it.
The relevance to HPC? Many contributors to HPC moan about the shortage of housing, well here's a major reason.

I grew up in Peterborough and still have family there. This is the usual racist pack of lies and the Mail is simply a sad rant for idiots. There is no housing shortage in Peterborough, which is about 90% white anglo saxon.

Thanks Mr G, what a brilliant article, not sure if I should laugh or cry.

The picture of the czech family with 7 kids.... that is easily worth a thousand words.

'We came to Britain because we wanted a better life for all of our children.'

Mrs Horvatova pats little Kevin on his head, before plopping down on a battered bench in the middle of her garden, which is littered with rubbish. Outside the kitchen door there are grubby children's clothes and some beer cans. Inside the house sits Mrs Horvatova's husband, Frankie. He is 29 and also is able to speak only a few words of English.

'The council has been very good to us. It has given us a house because we have the children. It only has three bedrooms, though, and we would like more.

The last part, 'we would like more'.... the place is littered with rubbish, empty beer cans, don't speak english.... why and how is this family of any benefit to the nation ?

Then there is the mention of Swans being slaughtered on the river for food ?

What the hell is going on ?

If you haven't watched the film 'District 9' yet, then please go ahead, I can't help laughing thinking of the similarities.

Yes, if only all those scrounging foreigners would go home (we need the Lebensraum, after all), and if only all those whinging youngsters would start saving to buy a house that is 10 times their salary, then everything would be right in the homeland.

Debtfree ,

It makes you wonder why you bother working when this is how your taxes are used .

I believe the new world order has told Blair and Brown and other British politicians to dilute the British people and British identity with newcomers who will offer less resistance to integration into a federal europe and their masterplan .

The mass immigration is definitely a deliberate policy , whether it constitutes ethnicide is debatable .

I love living in a multi-cultural country but we don't have the infrastructure , especially houses , for our current population who are expected to live longer than ever before .

People know how to make money out of a shortage , with a population of 55 million there wouldn't be a shortage of houses .

This is what happens when you allow poor countries to join the EU and refugees to pour in. Hate to think how much of my taxes go on supporting these scroungers. It's very sad that so many people live in poverty in other parts of the world but we can't support hundreds of thousands of families and it's not like there's spare housing here. Bet they can't believe it when they hear that the only qualification you need to get a big house here is a horde of kids.

Two points:
One - does anybody really believe this woman said that? this is a DAILY MAIL reporter, probably going in oozing charm and s/he gets the woman to say what the Daily Hate want (or just changes what she did say - what's the probability of any comeback?). Probably asked the woman if she would like more bedrooms & of course she would say yes.
Second - have you read the comments underneath?? I find them quite frightening.

Don't want to spoil the fun by injecting any facts into this "debate" but you will see that even the article itself makes passing mention of the fact that EU nationals (czech and slovenian nationals being included this group) are entitled to stay three months as visitors unless independent or self financing students. The same goes for family members of EU nationals. This family shouldn't be here if the system was working as it should. The fact that nobody follows up and enforces the law is down to police inefficiency (rife and getting worse as most money is spent on retired cops, massive salaries for anyone above PC and paperwork) or the involvment of serial cockupers and political favorites of Tories and Nu Lab...Group 4, Sassco, Reliance and Mite (to name a few of the private sector in-security firms wasting your tax under privatised removal and monitoring contracts for prisoners on licence and immigration removal contracts). They can't even do the job humanely when they catch some overstayer as they pay bugg3r all and their staff are usually young but retired squaddies with an army pension with little in the way of people skills...tax payer money subsidising private sector survival level salaries again! I see this day in and day out in my job as the government cuts and cuts at funding for real work.

From an article today in the Telegraph today by Norma Tebbit who fought alongside Polish, Czech and Slovak pilots.
"It is simply that without the Poles, Czechs and Slovaks whose names are inscribed on The Battle of Britain Monument, we would have lost that battle and the war."

The mail has been running a hate campaign against Poles and Czechs, if anything, the comments above show that it is working, a point to note, English people outside the UK working in the EU also make up one of the largest group of migrants.

I would also add that EU migrants are a tiny proportion of overall migrants, could all of you who commented above would like to explain why you are not against non EU migrants who arrive here in droves with no real mandate ?

Is it easier to criticise white EU migrants than others from the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa or India, are you just perhaps scared that you may be branded a rascist ?

Shame on you.

I don't understand why anyone would think that an entire nation can't have scroungers. There's plenty of english scroungers, and wasters - like "brits abroad" types. Not entirely sure what the argument of the mail is.

As I expected, we have the usual superior intellect comments about the Mail and the usual sweep it under the carpet or bury your head in the sand attitude to immigration as long as it doesn't affect me.

Yes mr g, we also have the usual argument targetting white EU immigrants but not the main immigration problem. If you care to, then please do make a comment about the other migrants in the UK not just the ones from the EU. You are afraid to do so for fear of being branded a rascist. You are a coward, either speak honestly about the whole issue or stay quiet about it.

@Andrew

I'm no coward and am not afraid to speak my mind.

I couldn't care less about whether immigration is from Eastern Europe, Africa, South Asia or wherever, it should be stopped.

Enough is enough, we simply have too many people in this small island to house, feed, educate and employ.

The whole system, if that's the right word, is bursting at the seams, any right thinking person can see that.

If you want proof, never mind Peterborough, come to West Yorkshire and see places like Bradford, Dewsbury and Batley.
