I doubt it mark, he'd have to sack himself. I am assuming he is a self employed property developer. Or should that be "proberdy ontraprinor"
alternatively he could be an estate agent in which case he is truly screwed

Of course, otherwise he would have called himself Smugbitch!
Back on subject, there are loads of jobs out there, Tesco's profits are up & expect to create thousands of new jobs, What's the problem?

You so crease me up so much Mark.
What on earth goes on in that fluffy sweet head of yours is extremely entertaining.
However, I sense that you fantasise as to my gender and orientation far too much, which I find very concerning.
To be honest and fair to you however, I fear that many Public sector will go in the third phase,
and as stated on Radio 4 this morning, this may kick off a fourth phase back in the Private sector.
I remain positive as always and act very much accordingly.
I doubt very much that I will be part of your next 10%; I have not lifted as much as a finger in the last 15 years.

Working down at the local Tesco as a G.A. was fine 20 years ago as the average wage back then could buy you an average house for 3.5x your income. I know people who have been working at such places for 25 years and earn about a third of what my big fancy career pays me. The irony is they also own houses about three times larger than the one I'll ever own. As for the people leaving university right now with hopes, dreams and aspirations - feck em. Not my policy, but that is the policy currently being pushed by the powers that be.

Smugdog, do you think that rising houseprises is a good thing, & long term what / how do you see this effecting our society as a whole?
Just a question, that i think many people refuse to look into!

HP@7,
No, I do not believe that house price rises, the like we have seen since 1991, are a good
thing for the general wellbeing of all in society.
My children may be fortunate in that they may not have to worry too much, however, the
world that they will have to be a part of will not be a happy place.
Yes, our Leaders should be in a position ensure that we avoid this boom and bust scenario,
however, for greed, fear and general self serving reasons, they choose to ignore the issue.
Shame on them for their irresponsible ways.
I can do little to persuade them otherwise, but for my meagre vote.
I will therefore continue to act positively for the good of my family, within the rules of play.
