Interesting how they state a lack of public parks as being a main reason for lack of community and identity but here in the UK both Tory and Labour and Liberal Councils have been selling off parks, allotments and green spaces to property developers for 30 years now.

Such a tragic shame.

I'm always sceptical of polls in which people say that they would leave the country.
The reasons given are "this country has gone to the dogs" and " I never known it to be this bad" etc.
What these guys don't seem to consider is that to leave to go to a better place there must be a better place to go to. When prodded further they would tell you that they have been to, say Thailand or Spain, for their hols last year and were impressed by how happy relaxed and friendly everyone seemed to be.
Do they know how easy it is to find a job, or how helpful the police are if/when they are needed, how clean and efficient their hospitals, how foreigners are regarded when, instead of limiting themselves on spending money in bars and clubs, actually start competing on the job market?
I've worked with people that for the last 20 years have bored me stiff with their tirades about how crap this country is and I'm sure I shall be retitiring in 20 years from now to the sound of their whining.
