BBC: Challenge to forced sale of homes for debts
The Ministry of Justice is looking at whether to set a minimum amount of debt before a court can order the sale of the home.

Makes no difference in the end. Just another delaying tactic in the otherwise unstoppable decline. Once the banks lose the abiltity to close on the debts then the lending market will become further squeezed which will habe a negative impact on prices. This like tryiong to part the seas...

banks will just charge a premium for loans that fall below the threshold. Meaning people will try to stretch themselves more to get bigger debts that they still cant afford. Doesn't sound like much of a plan to me
