Foxton's Ms Hayek makes good

Der Spiegel: What could possible go wrong :-)

Salma Hayek is one of the first to arrive. In her black sling pumps and shoulderless Gucci dress, she ascends the marble steps to the lobby. There, she passes by buckets of white roses, a map of North Africa from 1923 and anterooms full of plush velvet sofas before stopping beneath a hand-painted wooden ceiling.
"Wonderful!" Hayek says, stretching her arms out. "There's so much history everywhere!" Then she explains how she has now installed a Moroccan parlor in one of her homes.

Yeah but she's Salma Hayek. She's well past 40 but let's be honest ... you still would.

Don't be so negative. There is such a thing as secular, non-bubble growth. Improvements to infrastructure and legal systems generate real economic benefits which result in higher land values. That's what has been happening in most developing countries over the last decade.

Drewster, true, this celebrity attraction is not a new idea, so unless x-farter starts churning out more "celebs", and the "avatars" don't impose, these places are going to have to share the millions, more so as more countries have this original idea - no bubble, just a ship in the night.

Places do grow as lights are shone on them for the first time - in my dotage now, I can remember places that were idealic, but essentially scrubland in the past. Revisiting (something I do rarely) I sometimes wonder of the souls i met initially, who could'nt believe their luck .
Usually running some lovely little place with a nice life - it all gets so grubby, so soon....but in the end in a bubble, it's the few who sell out at the top, who skin the rabbit. I sometimes wonder how it feels to sell out before that.......but the feeling soon leaves.
