What about a repeat of 2009, i.e. they'll go down but the stats used will suggest a slight upturn?

what gs&l says. Prices round my way are drifting slowly but perceptibly downwards. Provided they fall > 5% a year, it's cheaper renting.

What is interesting is the shape of the curve - the opposite of a normal bell curve.
Very few people think prices will stay as they are.
