Sale by owner website are being hailed as the consumer champion with very low fees. Are these really going to help us recover from the housing price crash? some good fresh points

I tried a similar online agent some years back. They suck if you live anywhere remotely rural. I would only try one if I lived in a major city.

Sometimes a virus is the cure, like in the mediocre blockbuster Independence Day, sometimes you need to deploy a virus to kill off oily self-serving parasites.

I remember discussing this well over a year ago with STR.

It's got to be the way to go. With professional chain chasers, conveyancers and valuers linking in to the sites so offer their services - who needs an estate agent?

The whole business model will change, and if Rightmove are smart - they will sell out or go it alone themselves.
