Looks like the big stores have had a wish list from the government, of items they should reduce, which will no doubt translate into lower (well fiddled with) inflation figures,.....save 3p on a tin of beans, but ignore the extra £200 on your gas and electric, the extra £150 a year in higher pertol costs, the higher national insurance we'll be paying, the higher council tax, the higher taxes on everything etc

But wait theres more!!, these lower prices will last about 3 months, so the lower prices will begin to show in the CPI figures just before the election or am I just being cynical...........This government can be read like a book, the trouble is the British public no longer know how to read.

What a coincidence that there are sharp retail price cuts at just the same time that the effect of the base rate cuts of 12 months ago drops out of the index...

- and 6 to 12 weeks - is that thought of as long term nowadays?

AsdaWalmart are just trying the 'drive everyone to subsistance wages' model that worked so well in the US over the last decade

We should be aiming for fairness in the supply chain and good animal (and vegetable) husbandry first and make buying Chinese tat a secondary thing

I think people are still in denial about how much wealth has gone up in smoke.

In a way of QE and TARP have been relatively small in comparison to the money that has been lost.
