Irish recover

BBC: Irish Republic out of recession as GDP grows

The Irish, who have done pretty much the opposite fiscal response to the UK, have started to recover.

Give credit where it's due. They have bitten the bullet! Well done !!

If governments want house assets to rise, then a strong underlying economy (not in recession) is needed. Another strong support for a sound nation is a population spending less than it earns and paying down large debts.

Now Gordon Brown, on the other hand......
