hpwatcher...and why is that because houses prices are too high...our illusion that high houses prices is wealth is a total fiction...reality is starting to bite...

This snippet from the times article just about sums up the rewards of industrial endeavor in this country today; 'manufacturing accounted for 22.5 per cent of Britain’s economic output when Labour came to power in 1997 but now accounts for a little more than 11 per cent'.
We have witnessed the demise of an honest days work for an honest days pay and no-one noticed until it was too late!
