How can any Labour politician have any idea of what happens in the real world of business when the majority are ex lawyers, polytechnic lecturers or social workers?

Brown is showing who he really is - a hard core keynesians. He is no understanding oh what macroeconomics has taught us in the last 40 years, if he did, he's understand it doesn't work. What a fake - try to convince the international community 15 years ago by talking about Endogneous growth theory. His ignorance as onbious then as it is now and it was always going to end like this.

So we're expecting China to save us, great business plan Mr. Brown.
And what if the Chinese prefer educating and investing in their own people?
How about take a punt and have a single month holiday from dodgy QE and put the £2 billion into funding startup companies instead. That would spur something like 2,000 - 3,000 high tech companies for a year or two. Some of which could become the next Microsoft of the future. Too forward thinking for Labour

Totally agree with Cat ^
Unfortunately the Govt's approach to Digital Britain is to try and keep alive old business models such as that of the record industry via new laws, regulations and punishments - rather than actively investing in new ideas or helping current digital companies grow.

Gordo should remember the old Chinese proverb: Man who scratch ass should not bite fingernails.
