Oh the humiliation for the UK's ill-kempt ,male-nerdy New Labour leadership; being looked down on by a sophisticated woman and a Frenchwoman at that."The City is the City whichever party is in power" .Why could n't they have said that?" We did not fiddle about with VAT...We focused on public infrastructure and support for the less privileged." Is n't this traditional Labour policy?And it gets quantitative easing money into circulation without the banks hoarding it or punting it on shares.Not just a verdict on New Labour's lack of financial finesse but on its social class insecurities.
