Maxwell-an example of why we're in this mess?
Timesonline: Court adjourns hearing for son of maxwell
kevin maxwell it appears has never worked for a company that makes a profit(please correct me if wrong) and yet has run up huge debts in his 'business career'....is this not an example of why we are in this stupid debt bubble..I noted recently that BT had £11 billion of debt and vodafone and astonishing £32 billion of debt, yet both apparently make a profit

Nothing to say about Kevin but on BT and Vodafone..
Voda have to plant poles all over the countries they operate in, that costs - what 250K each I guess and were talking many thousands. Thats the capital expenditure, those things last 9 years. Same with BT -massive physical infrastructure. They then run it, pay back the interest and capital and make profit from the rest. It's called business.
