Maybe we "missed this" because it has a very tenuous connection to house prices? After all, this is a house price crash blog.

The unemployment level is a factor in the housing market but gloating every time a business goes under isn't nice and isn't all that important in the overall scheme of things. I wonder what a BMI employee would make of this blog?

I've always thought that the practice of "owning" a landing slot was completely asinine. They should belong to the airport which in turn can lease them to the airlines instead. Under the present system, inefficient old airlines like BA and BMI have an unfair competitive advantage; while newcomers like Ryanair and Easyjet are relegated to second-rate airports.
Parallels with LVT, of course....

little professor - unemployment is the the most important factor next to interest rates, surely?
quiet guy - who's gloating? Every single individual who losses their job, I feel nothing other than great sadness.
