… too little too late?

Greg Pytel: Apology from the bankers

A sense of reality is finding its way to some bankers' heads. But isn't it too little too late? And isn't it odd that it comes from a bank, HSBC, that seemed to screwed up the least? In fact HSBC appears to have been acting prudently with healthy Loan to Deposit ratio of 90% before the crisis and have been affected by other banks' actions.
This actually brings some confidence in HSBC but does not say much about others.
