Is Gordon hinting at something other than what most of us already know? If so what?
Guardian: Gordon Brown warns next six months will test the world
Gordon Brown chunners on at the UN assembly and declares that; "The great lesson of the last year is that only bold and global action prevented a recession becoming a depression. We have delivered a co-ordinated fiscal and monetary response that the International Labour Organisation estimates has saved 7- to 11 million jobs."

This piece is so typical Guardian crap. It attributes words to the Great Gordon in the header, and then it turns out they are the words of the other great leftist Obama. Or have I got it wrong? Difficult to know with the Guardian. Certainly not the Guardian of common sense!

Politicians like to spread FUD - Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt - ahead of an election, because fear favours the incumbent party.

Has anyone noticed the guardian spin between what Gordon and Barak say?

Is this about Browns speach or about Obamas. The article says:
"Obama defined the five new great challenges for the next six months as famine in Africa, nuclear proliferation, climate change, ending the recession and terrorism."

These "leaders" do seem to be getting together at increasingly short intervals - collective reassurance perhaps for what they know/suspect is going to happen on their watch.
I'm certainly not a conspiraloon, but it just seems to be the sort of thing we all do when facing great troubles.
